Raymond L. Dobard

RAYMOND L. DOBARD Passed away June 23, 2004, at the age of 83 in Oakland. Ray was preceded in death by his beloved mother and father, Regina and Leonce Dobard. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Mason Dobard. Also survived by nephews, Leo Joseph Jr., Raymond G., Kenneth M., Roy J., Roland A., Vernon J., Adrian B., Ernest Jr., Raymond M. and Percy L. Ray was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 31, 1920. He settled in Berkeley where he remained a resident for over 60 years. Ray created beautiful music for a generation of people all over the world as an artist promoter and owner of the long running Music City Record Shops and recording studio. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass Saturday, July 17, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4025 Martin Luther King Way in Oakland.
