Bob died peacefully surrounded by his wife Donna and his 7 children. Born in San Francisco to Samuel and Mazie Madge. He graduated from Oakland High and received his BA degree from the College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland. He served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during WWII & the Korean War. He taught Art at Tahoe Truckee High, Pleasant Hill High and Concord High. He retired from teaching in 1990 after 35 years. He was a talented artist with a great sense of humor. But will be most remembered for his love of family and home. A member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, SIRS 146 golf, walking and coffee group and the W.C. Seniors. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Phyllis Katsikas. He is survived by the Love of his Life, wife Donna, married 68 years, daughters Cathleen Madge, Carol (Terry) Tabacco, Colleen Madge-Stevens (Troy), sons Tom (Kelly) Madge, Tim (Brenda) Madge, Ted (Kory) Madge, Terry (Trish) Madge, 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, Sisters-in-law Mary Ann (Robert) Gray, Kay McDonough and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A special thanks Father William (SJV) and Kaiser Hospice, Martinez for their thoughtfulness. Private Service and burial at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA.

Bumpa was a kind, funny, talented, and gentle man. I'm so glad I got to know him and that my children got to experience having such a wonderful great grandpa. He is missed.

Dear Donna and Family,
I was so very sorry to hear about Bob. He was a sweet and gentle man, and I always enjoyed having the opportunities to speak with him when he was usually outside tending to his yard. :)
Always a friendly smile on his face. I will remember him fondly.
