John Warren Geary Obituary
John Warren Geary Oct. 13, 1925 Mar. 19, 2014 Resident of San Pablo After a courageous battle with esophageal cancer, John passed away at his home (Emeritus for the past 9 years) with his three children by his side. John was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from Pacific Bell after 35 years. John was born and raised in San Leandro. He always enjoyed life to the fullest, whether with his friends and family, playing his drums (John was a professional drummer for all of his adult life and continued to play for his fellow residents at Emeritus until shortly before his death), going out to eat, playing cards with Mark and Sis or going on his beloved gambling trips. John always enjoyed himself and was the "life of the party". John is survived by his three children Michael Geary (Mary Ellen), Mark Geary, Marcia Geary Weiss (Bob) sister Betty Toti, four step children William Brink (Mary), Tim Brink (Pat), Mick Brink (LeAnn), Jeff Brink, 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. John was the greatest father anyone could possibly have. It was an honor for all of us to be able to call him Dad! Words cannot describe how deeply he will be missed and how much he was loved in life. Preceded in death by his father Warren Geary, his mother Bessie Springer Geary and wife Marian Geary. Graveside Service: Friday 3/28/2014 noon @ Los Gatos Memorial Park 2255 Los Gatos Almaden Rd. San Jose, Ca. 95124. Wilson & Kratzer Mortuary (510) 232-6552
