He loved to test his luck at the casinos in Reno, Tahoe, Jackson and Sonora and was always excited about road trips, such as staying with his nieces in Nevada, picnicking in the Napa Valley or strolling the streets in the Mother Lode. He was particularly proud of his international travels to Italy, where he visited the birthplace of his family's roots and also Greece. He had a special place in his heart for his dog "Skippy".
