Don passed away peacefully on January 13, 2017. Don was born in 1936 in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, the fourth of seven children born to William and Pearl (Helton) Lasater. At the age of nine, Don and his family moved to Brentwood, California where he graduated from Liberty Union High School in 1955. In 1960 Don began a 35 year career as a lithographer with the Continental Can Company; Don was a long standing member of the Graphics Communication International Union (GCIU). After retirement, Don moved to Mountain Ranch, CA where he lived for several years before settling in Valley Springs, CA. Don will be remembered as a loving son, brother, grandfather and friend, but most especially as a loving and hard-working father who raised and guided his two sons through adolescence and adulthood.
