Jackie Weldon Moore, 76, of Floyd, New Mexico went to be with the Lord on September 16, 2017 in Amarillo, Texas.
Memorial Services will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the Floyd Baptist Church with Rick Wilcher officiating.
Jack was born in Indio, California to Ala Dez Adams and Weldon Dunn on November 8, 1941. He graduated from Alamogordo High School, Alamogordo, New Mexico. Jack married Deborah Smith on June 24, 1994, in El Paso, Texas. After graduating from New Mexico State University, Jack became a varsity coach at Zia Middle School in Las Cruces, New Mexico and later became a principal for the Truth or Consequences school systems in T or C, New Mexico, Jack was also an assistant principal for the Gadsden Independent School District, as well as a principal in Socorro, New Mexico.
Jack W. Moore was a veteran of the United States Army, serving as a member of the 2nd Battalion 44th Artillery, Fourth US Army Division.
While living in Las Cruces, NM Jackie attended Calvary Baptist Church and later became a valued member with the Floyd Baptist Church in Floyd, New Mexico.
Jack is preceded in death by his mother, Ala Dez Adams; father, Weldon Dunn; stepfather, Schrader Moore; and brother, Danny Moore.
Jack is survived by his wife, Deborah Moore; son, Todd and wife Caroline Moore; daughter, Teri and husband Angel Dominguez; stepson, Chris and wife Jaquita Smith; stepdaughter, Amy and husband Milton Dickenson; brother, Keith and wife Roxanne Dunn; grandchildren, Ben Tessier, Alicia Nicole Morrison, Josh Moore, Raven Moore, Jessica Luchetsky, Justin Dominguez, Shane Smith, Clayton Smith, Rebekah Smith, and Hadley Smith; great grandchildren, Jayce Vogl, Raiden Vogl, Dean Morrison, and Harrison Morrison.
Honorary Pallbearers will include Ben Tessier, Justin Dominguez, Josh Moore, Raven Moore, Shane Smith, Clayton Smith, Hadley Smith, Zachary Aragon, Izaiah Aragon, and Keith Nixon.
The family of Jack Moore wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Floyd Volunteer Fire Department, staff at Northwest Texas Hospital, Rick and Janet Wilcher, Floyd Baptist Church and the Community of Floyd New Mexico.
