BURAK, Steve On Friday July 7, 2006, Steve Burak of Edmonton passed away at the age of 74 years surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Liz, children; Donna, Shelley (Peter) and Stephen (Monika), brothers; Mike (Jean), Pete, Harry (Priscilla), sister-in-law Lydia, brother-in-law John, grandchildren; Anastasia, Sarah, Katherine, Matthew, Michael, Samantha, Alyssa, Amanda and Luke, and many other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John and Annie, brothers John and Dennis, sister Stella, and sister-in-law Joanne. Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday July 12, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service on Thursday July 13, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Elia's Ukrainian Orthodox Church (11833-66 Street, Edmonton), with Interment to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Steve may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute or the charity of one's choice. The family would like to say thanks to the staff of unit 51 at the Grey Nuns Hospital and to the staff at the Norwood Care Center fortheir care and compassion. South Side Memorial Chapel. Uncle Steve was a proud family man who raised a exceptional family . I am proud to have had him as an uncle. We will sadly miss him. Our deepest sympathy to auntie Liz, Donna, Shelley & Pete, and Stephen & Monika, and all grand children.
