ROGERS, Wana Delilah Gonnet (nee Campbell) "Peace I leave with you: my peace I give to you... Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." John 14:27 Delilah passed away with her children and grandchildren gathered around her on Monday, August 19th, 2002 at the age of 82 years. She graduated as the Valedictorian of the Edmonton General Hospital School of Nursing in 1941. Upon graduation, she worked as the Head Nurse of the O & G unit of the Montreal General. Upon her return from Montreal, Delilah became Public Health Nurse for the County of Lac St. Anne where she met and married her husband of 38 years Maurice Anthony Gonnet. She was predeceased by her husband Maurice; and her later life companion, husband Douglas Elbert Rogers. She leaves in memory, her immediate family, daughters Linda (Murray) Gonnet-Armstrong, Gwendolyn (Leif) Madsen and son Gerald (Christine) Gonnet; grandchildren Erin and Leah Dawson, Nathan and Erin Armstrong, Dana and Carl Madsen, Emily and Hanna Gonnet; her great-grandson Travis Arthur-McGill. Doug's family, son Murray Rogers and daughter Nicole (Larry) Dunits; grandchildren Candice and Brendan, Brett and Darren Dunits. Also her brothers and sisters Bill (Doris) Campbell, Ethel Leach, Peggy (Doug) McKenzie, Faye (Tom) Tevendale, Don (Jacquline) Campbell, Betty (Rod) Bell, David Campbell, Robert (Marge) Campbell, Holly (Skip) Pickle and Craig (Beatrice) Campbell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A family interment service will be held at 12:00 noon, on Friday, August 23rd, 2002, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Edmonton, AB, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m. at Memories Funeral Directors Chapel with Reverend Cyril Cutting as presider.
