Emil SADER Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Emil Sader of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta announces his sudden passing on November 19, 2011 at the age of 67 years. Emil will be deeply missed by his wife Diann, sons Ben (Lisa) and Geoff (Rhonda) grandchildren Laura, Kiri, Greta and Julian. Emil is also survived by his brothers Leon (Aline), Art (Lucille), Ed (Hazel), Ray (Elizabeth) and sisters Adelina Hinkel (Bill Hinkel, predeceased), Eileen (Wally) Reimer, Helen (Ed) Lasner and Edith (Eric) Zieber. As well he is survived by his sister-in-law Marlene and husband Edward Beauregard and mother-in- law Mary Helfrich. He is predeceased by his parents, Henry and Hulda Sader and his sister, Julia who died as an infant.
Emil was born in Bonnyville, AB and grew up on the family farm near Manola, AB. As a teen Emil moved to Edmonton and enjoyed several years working at the WW Arcade and The Bay. Soon after meeting Diann, he enrolled and completed the Business Administration program at NAIT. Emil and Diann were married in 1967. He then embarked on his career as a sales agent for several furniture manufacturers. Soon after the births of their two sons they moved to Fort Saskatchewan ("The Fort"). It was here where they truly found home. Emil was continuously involved in all his sons' activities including baseball, hockey, skiing, fishing, camping and many others. Emil was known for his fairness, loyalty, passion and caring personality in his many years of coaching and supporting players in baseball and hockey. Emil was a community builder; he was a key person in building and organizing minor baseball in Fort Saskatchewan.
Emil had a rewarding career as a salesman working in Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan. He thrived in this line of work because of his honesty, interpersonal skills and his ability to form strong relationships. After retiring Emil and Diann embarked on new passions including travelling, cooking, curling and above all spending time with their growing grandchildren. Throughout his life Emil kept in touch with his many friends whom he engaged with his talent for storytelling and conversation.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., at the Dow Centennial Centre, Shell Theatre, 8700 - 84 Street, Fort Saskatchewan. Donations in memory of Emil may be made to the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital Foundation, 9430 - 95 Street, Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, T8L 1R8. Gordon and Cindy Kadatz directors in care of arrangements.

I am sorry that I was not at the funeral. Both Diann and Emil were there for me when my mother died. I will never forget how I felt that day knowing they were there for me. There were so many people at Emil's service, many of whom were your former colleagues/teachers from Fort High. Team Sader has lots of support.Ben and Geoff, you did such a wonderful job of eulogizing your dad. I was not able to stay for refreshments but I am so happy that I was able to hear the stories and see the young 'uns.
