Manola BORRAJO-GINER Obituary
Peacefully on June 11, 2014, Manola Borrajo-Giner passed away at the age of 50.
Left to cherish her memory, her beloved daughters Manuela and Carmen; husband Felipe Aguerrevere; sister Maria Amalia; brother Alberto; and parents Maria Luisa Giner and Manuel Borrajo.
An exceptionally talented visual artist, Manola was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela with a home in Edmonton for the past 14 years. Family, friends and her art were Manola's love, passion and joy. Her compassionate heart, contagious enthusiasm and caring nature left a unique mark on the lives of those who crossed paths with her.
A Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Spanish Catholic Church (11314 – 111 Avenue) in Edmonton on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. A Celebration of Manola's wonderful Life will follow at Grandview Heights Community Centre (12603 – 63 Avenue, Edmonton) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, kindly consider making a donation to 1000 Women: A Million Possibilities in support of Norquest College students; a charity dear to her heart. Her family wishes to thank the staff at the Cross-Cancer Institute for their kindness and care.

Dear Felipe, Manuela and Carmen,
I met Manola during her show at the McMullen gallery. She brought so much joy and fun to her art classes that it would be very difficult for me to describe the joy in the eyes of those who attended. Her enthusiasm for art and color was infectious and I can only imagine what a beautiful person she was to be there as a wife and mother. She encouraged me to teach and continue with her weekly classes for two weeks, while she was gone for her treatment. I am happy that I could do this for her and I feel deeply honored. On the very last day she brought me flowers to thank me for my efforts. I was so touched.
I was not aware of her passing until now, and I will always remember her smile and loving ways. My thoughts will always be for you.

We are saddened by the loss of such an amazing and talented woman. We were privileged to meet and work with Manola over the years and share in her infectious personality.
