Daniel Lee Walton, 59, of Guyton and husband of Dawn Wilson Walton, died Tuesday morning, Oct. 20, 2020, at his home with his family by his side.
Born in Baxley, he was a son of Kathryn Sellers Walton and the late Albert Lee Walton. Daniel was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Army for 12 years.
He worked at Georgia Pacific for 18 years and retired after 12 years from the Georgia Ports Authority.
Daniel was a member of Faith Ministries in Guyton and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Daniel also loved cars and motorcycles but most of all, he loved his family.
Surviving are his wife, Dawn Wilson Walton; sons, Scott L. Walton and his wife, Tiffany; Stephen D. Walton, Ray L. Walton, Jonah L. Walton and Caleb J. Walton; a daughter, Amber D. Walton; his mother, Kathryn Sellers Walton; his brothers, David Walton, Ernie Walton and his wife, Kathy, Donald Walton and his wife, Jeanne, and Alvin Walton and his wife, Susan; his grandchildren, Nalani, Cole, Kyle, Chase, and Noah; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was conducted Thursday, October 22, 2020, in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service. It was conducted by Pastor Bruce Meyers.
