RINCON - Earl Wayne Hall, 73, passed away Dec. 30, 2018, at his residence.
The Missouri native was an electrical and mechanical Engineer and retired from Oliver T. Carr Co. in Washington, D.C., as the director of engineering. He was a member of the National Association of Professional Engineers, where he also served as a teacher. He loved NASCAR, the Washington Redskins, Georgia Bulldogs, Savannah Bananas and all sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Washington Hall and Kate A. Sherrod; brothers, Harold Dane Hall and Clyde Richard Jones; sister, Miriam Hall; and grandson, Michael A. Gayle.
Survivors include his wife, Reva Anderson Hall; daughters, Teresa Diane Gayle, Cheryl Elaine Searles (Tom), Patricia Lynn Walbert (Tom); grandchildren, Vincent Anthony Gayle (Kim), William M. Barrett, Melissa E. McBryde, Joshua T. Searles (Ashley), Rebekah R. Searles, Jake L. Walbert, Nicholas R. Walbert; great-granddaughter, Katherine Gayle; brother, Joe K. Jones (Lorraine); and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, in the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home Effingham Chapel.
Interment followed in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
