POOLER - Ronald William "Ron" Lewis, 47, passed away April 13, 2019.
The Bulloch County native graduated from E.C.H.S. in 1990. He served in the U.S. Marines, U.S. Army and Army National Guard, having served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He enjoyed bass fishing and coaching football, baseball and softball.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Lewis.
Survivors include his wife, Jocelyn Bayles Lewis; children, Kayla Soucy (Aaron), Braxton Lewis (Hannah), Summer, and Ronnie Lewis; his mother, Virginia Lewis; grandchildren, Kaelynn Soucy, Adam Soucy, and Trevor Rowe; brother, Frank Lewis (Paula); sister, Heather Gonsalves (Joseph); his mother-in-law, Ruthanne Bayles; four nieces; five nephews; and numerous other relatives.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 17, 2019, in the Effingham Chapel of Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. April 18, 2019, in the chapel. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 8819 U.S. Hwy 301, Glennville.
