Shirley B. Lariscy, 88, went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2020. She passed away peacefully at a nursing facility near her daughter's home.
She was born Aug. 10, 1931, in Richmond County to the late Glenn Davis and Christabel Garrett Bivens. Shirley was preceded in death by older siblings, Glenn Davis Bivens, Marilyn Beale and Betty Rice. Shirley will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Abby in Augusta in the Bivens' family plot.
Mrs. Lariscy is survived by her sister, Carolyn Bivens Cote of Hilton Head, S.C.; daughter, Anne L. McCullough (Tom) of Jonesboro; son, David L. Lariscy of Atlanta; and son, Milton Lee Lariscy of Hilton Head, S.C.; grandson, Joshua J Faulkner of Hampton; and great-grandchildren of McDonough, Elizabeth, Emma, Jackson and Adeline Faulkner. She had many nieces and nephews.
Shirley was an active member of First Baptist Church of Rincon. She enjoyed retirement from U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, staying active with other retirees. Her interests and talents were many, including Red Hatters, quilting, traveling, watching "Jeopardy," reading, Bingo, cats and family.
