I knew Uncle Thad through the Graves family. Mary Butler and Martha Graves were twins. I lived around the corner from the Graves family on Oatland Island. I have nothing but fond memories of being around Thad. Of course it was Mr. Butler or Uncle Thad back then as simple respect was always appreciated by country folk. That's how we were raised. He was always pleasant to be around. Very courteous and sincere and he had a great sense of humor. A warm smile and laugh. When you were with Earl and Larry Graves and Uncle Thad Butler it was always good times. Fishing , talking , a good meal , or just hanging out. He will be missed by everyone. Another old timer from a bygone era when you really might walk to school down a long dirt road. Bless the family during this sad time. Rest in peace T O.

Your friend , Charlie Orrel
