Inez Sharp Medlin was born to Lillie Trammell Sharp and Maurice Sharp on April 23, 1921 in Aspermont, TX. While in high school, she met her future husband, Morris Medlin. They were married October 31, 1938. During their 40 years together, Morris and Inez ran a dry cleaning business, first in Lamesa, TX and later in here in El Paso where they moved in 1966. They had four children: Cheri Pogeler (Allen) of San Diego; Val (Sandy) of San Juan Capistrano, CA; Marc (Jennifer) of Houston; and Paul (Patsy) of El Paso. She is also survived by her brother Lyndall Sharp of Lamesa, TX. Inez and Paul continued to operate White Spur Cleaners after Morris' death in 1978. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her eight grandchildren: Sandi and Jeremy; Melissa, Allison and Samantha; and Cari, Zach and Ashlee. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Katie, Tori, Alexandria, Emma, Jax and Nia. Inez was an active member of the Westside Church of Christ for 40 years. After her husband's death, she enjoyed interior decorating and lived in her beautifully decorated apartment until her health began to decline. For the last three years, she has been a resident of Good Samaritan White Acres. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to Good Samaritan Society White Acres, 7304 Good Samaritan Dr, El Paso. Memorial Service will be held at 11:45 am, Monday, April 29, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Your mom was one of the best moms ever. She and I had the opportunity to talk so many times when I would come to service the house. I will miss her greatly.
