Gerald Smith Obituary
Anthony - Gerald Joe Smith, 90, of Anthony, NM passed away November 6, 2020 as a result of Congestive Heart Failure. He was in a foster home with good care when he passed away.
He was born to Eugene Perry Smith and Jewel Hensing Smith of Anthony, NM on December 12, 1929. Gerald went to Valley Union High School. He served as an infantry officer during the Korean War. He graduated with a law degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He was retired from a law practice in El Paso, TX. He practiced law for over 50 years.
Gerald is survived by his children Gerald Eugene Smith, Ronald Smith, Teresa Smith Lewis, and Jasom Smith; and his sister Mary Gail Abbott and his sister Shirley Scott and his brother David Smith. Gerald had a host of friends.
There will be no funeral due to Covid 19. However, a memorial is planned for Spring 2021. Contact his son Jason Smith about details of the memorial at the beginning of 2021, at (915) 490-1735.
Gerald Joe Smith, de 90 años, de Anthony, NM falleció el 6 de noviembre del 2020 como resultado de una insuficiencia cardíaca congestiva. Estaba en un hogar de acogida con buenos cuidados cuando falleció. Sus padres son Eugene Perry Smith y Jewel Hensing Smith de Anthony, NM y nació el 12 de diciembre de 1929. I didn't know Gerald. But, I can admire him and his accomplishments. I do know and love his daughter, Teresa. I'm sending virtual love to you and your family, Teresa. It's not easy to lose your father.
