Armando C. Tiscareno

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Armando C. Tiscareno who peacefully entered the Gates of Heaven on Saturday, April 17, 2021. He was born on December 16, 1926 in El Paso, Texas. Armando attended Bowie High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer. Armando retired from Southern Pacific Railroad after 37 years of faithful service where he served as president of the local union. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 638. He was a very humble person with a gentle soul and loved listening to classical music. Armando is preceded in death by his parents Alberto and Natividad Tiscareno; loving wife of 44 years, Paula Tiscareno; brothers, Alberto, Agustin, Antonio, Fernando, Joseph, and Ralph. Armando is survived by his sisters Margarita Tiscareno, Belen Sandum and Carmen Lohman. He is survived by his children Irene Tiscareno, Armando Tiscareno Jr., Manuel Tiscareno (Lucy), Luis Tiscareno (Mari), and Cynthia Valtierra. He is also survived by grandchildren, Gabriel, Steven, Pearl, Manuel Jr., Rene, Lydia, Marisela, Armando III, Jesus, and Bridgette; and 17 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Luis Tiscareno, Gabriel Tiscareno, Steven Tiscareno, Manuel Tiscareno Jr., Rene Tiscareno, Joshua Chavez, Jose Luis Sandoval, and Tomas Avila. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary/vigil at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Perches Funeral Home, 7580 Alameda Ave., El Paso, Texas 79915. Funeral mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. at Saint John Paul II Catholic Church, 518 Gallagher St., El Paso, Texas 79915. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Perches Funeral Home - Lower Valley.
