Obituary Condolences

LTC Clyde Patrick Molloy, United States Army (Retired), beloved husband, father, colleague, and friend, lost his valiant battle with cancer on Friday, May 28, 2010. He leaves behind his wife, Carol, of 36 years, his sons Ryan and Richard, daughter-in-law Valerie, and god children Debra Kerner, Andrew Witkoff, and Wyatt Matthew Gregory. Pat was born on February 25, 1948 in New Orleans, LA. He graduated from Georgia Tech with his Bachelor of Science and Purdue University with his Masters of Science. He served the US Army for 15 years of active duty and 7 years in the US Army Reserve in a variety of staff and command positions for with operational troop units in Air Defense Artillery and Field Artillery. After his military career he worked for Hughes Aircraft from 1985 to 1995 as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff and Raytheon as a Principal Systems Engineer from 1995 to early 2010. Pat was enthusiastic and committed to the Boy Scouts of America, serving as a Pack Leader and Troop Leader. He was a Silver Beaver Award Winner for his volunteer work with Wood Badge and adult training. He was an active member of the Lower Valley Optimist Club. His last act of kindness and generosity was donating his body to the Texas Tech School of Medicine. A memorial reception will be held at the home of the family on Saturday, June 5, 2010, beginning at 4:00pm. Upon the return of his ashes, there will be a memorial service and internment held at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to cancer research or the El Paso Humane Society.
