Nic was my favorite teacher at EPCC, i took just about every class he taught. He also encouraged me to apply for the Bridges Program, where I discovered my love of research. He will be sorely missed. If not for him, I doubt I would have found my job as a tutor, which in turn has allowed me to help other student.

Nic was an amazing professor , one I will never forget ! He truly cared about his students ,he inspired me to keep trying when school got tough and not to get so discouraged. With his advice I made it through pharmacy school and will be forever thankful he was there to mentor me when I was applying. Rest in paradise Nic, a lot of your old students miss you!

To the Lannutti Family- We are praying for all of you during this most difficult time. We have known Nick since the early 80s- Nick was still a teen when he and Jose worked at Jack in the Box. Wow- gone too soon. RIP Nick!

Brother-in-law of 23 years. Watched him as he worked hard to get his Bachelor's, Master's and PhD. Conversations with Nic were always entertaining and interesting, including those about counting scales on snakes, to watching him keep crickets indoors in a dry fish tank to feed the various reptiles he also housed indoors, to the peacocks and baby goats they had out on the Fabens farm when the children were little. Through his educational pursuits and commitment to excellence, he led his children by example. I pray your children find comfort every day in their 29+ years of memories with you and always know that through it all, they were loved. That soul bond never ends. May your soul rest in peace, brother-in-law.

I met Nic about four years ago. I had sent him an email with my resumé asking if he had part-time positions available. He responded within the hour and invited me down to his office. I was a bit reluctant because I had my son with me and he immediately said that would not be a problem. Then had me in the classroom teaching a week later. After our first conversation, I knew he was awesome. Since then, I have considered Nic as one of my mentors, especially when I started a Ph.D. program. He was one of my Recommenders. Nic was everything a human being should be. There's so much more I would like to say, but I'll finish with this-- Without Nic, I would not be where I am today. It may have been only four years since we met, but you made it feel like lifetime. Rest in peace, my friend. You'll be missed. #BiologyRocks

My prayers and condolences to the Lannutti family. We both worked at EPCC and I would always run into him by the mailroom. I met him when he was going through his tenure process and knew he was a special person to his students and especially to his family. He was taken too early and now in the Good Lord's home. May you Rest In Peace!

I wish I had met you, as your beautiful daughter, Kay, is my sons fiancé. You were so accepting of him, and that meant so much to me. The Lord took you way too soon, but, hopefully, through you, we can learn to savor each day we are given. RIP.
