Michael Scott Gardner Obituary
On Monday, January 7, 2019, Michael Scott Gardner, son, brother, uncle, and beloved friend of many, passed away at the age of 55 years. After serving four years in the U.S. Navy, he worked for the city until retirement. He then moved onto managing and eventually took ownership of his father's legacy, "Telephone and Data Services." His work with telecommunications helped many businesses across the city. He will be forever loved by his family; Father, Milo S. Gardner, little sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and John Mullins, the love of his life, Claudia Cortes, nieces, Kaitlyn and Chimay, and countless of dear friends. He loved the 60's, psychedelic art, and especially loved his records. Michael was a food and beer connoisseur and a great guitarist. He enjoyed brewing beer with his friends from the Borderline Brewers, cooking and eating good food, and watching a good movie. He enjoyed teasing his nieces as well quoting his favorite movies. Though sometimes he had the memory of a gold?sh he really knew how to make everyone laugh, especially as he struggled trying to ?gure out 21st century technology, such as, his own smart phone. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors.
