Obituary Condolences

Anita Briones, 76 of El Paso, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved widow of Vicente Briones and a dedicated Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She was a wonderful example of faith, hope, wisdom and charity. Anita was born in San Angelo, TX on May 12, 1937 and was married to Vicente Briones for 57 years. She was a dedicated volunteer at Our Lady of Assumption Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, money counter, and belonged to the Daughters of our Lady of Assumption. She was a talented seamstress and craftswomen with a passion for cooking and entertaining. She enjoyed golf and was an avid bowler. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Anita will be remembered for her compassionate and loving heart. Proceeded in death by: Husband: Vicente Briones Parents: Anastacio and Sulema Ramos Brothers: Roy Ramos, Roy Guevara, Robert Ramos, and Pete Guebara Sisters: Cruz Ojeda and Ester Dominguez Survived by: Children Alice Puente (Richard Puente) Albert Briones (Martha Santos) Gilbert Briones (Vanessa Briones) Antonia Harding (Henry Gurrola) Ten beautiful grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren Sisters Maria Giallongo (Giovani Giallongo) Julia Gonzales Olga Sierra (Patricio Sierra) Celia Ramos Funeral Arrangements: Visitation will be Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Kaster-Maxon-Futrell Funeral Home 8817 Dyer, Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be Monday February 24, 2014 at 12:15 P.M. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church 4805 Byron St. Burial at 1:30 P.M at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Family and Friends will then celebrate Anita's life at Davis-Seamon VFW Post 812 (McKelligon Canyon). A special thank you to Avida Home Health Inc. and the wonderful nurses at Providence Memorial Hospital.
