Obituary Condolences

The Lord called home his son, Eduardo Herrera, after bravely battling cancer for three years on May, 16, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife Gloria, who never left his side, his son Ricardo, His mother Sabina, His Mother-In-Law Rachel Sanchez, his brothers, sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Edward was never one to say no to a friend or family member in need. He was always Mr. Right, never wrong. He was a jack of all trades. If he couldn't fix it, he'd learn how. He was known as a friendly and loving man who above all else loved his family. He was one to lay on the floor and play with all his great nieces and nephews for hours. Pall Bearers will be Steve Salcido, Eric Salcido, Frankie Armendariz, Luis I Herrera, Hector Ogaz, and Julian Vasquez. Ever the consummate planner he had selected his funeral arrangements himself. The family would like to thank the amazing doctors and nurses at UMC who cared for him, Hospice of El Paso, and Bishop Castro of the LDS Church. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am on Friday, May 23, 2014 at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery.
