My heart goes out to you Phil. I just learned of Kathy's passing. Back in 1983, we all took a field trip out to the mines at Los Lamentos, Chih. and Kathy had let her "new" jeep be part of the UTEP caravan. I remember her new tires were a little large for the wheel wells because through the many bounces and dips, they would rub with a screech in the wells. She never uttered a word of complaint regarding her nice vehicle being driven hard on such rough roads, but was all smiles at taking this wild trip to the outback of Mexico with her then boyfriend, Phil, at her side, sipping his iced coffee. What a trip! I remember thinking "Where did Dr. Goodell find this cool girlfriend who puts up with all his quirks?!!" She was a gem. On reading her obit, I could not hold back my tears. Kathy was a rare individual and fun. My condolences.
