Obituary Condolences

Mitchell Abraham, 83, fell asleep into the arms of the Lord on January 3, 2014. Our most precious and beloved Mitchell was born and raised in El Paso, TX, where he excelled in academics and sports at El Paso High, Texas A & M, and Texas College of Mines (UTEP). He was married to the love of his life Georgette Nabhan Abraham for 64 wonderful years and was the beloved father of Annette Haddad (Bryan), Brian Abraham (Guadalupe), Frederick Abraham, and Mary Jeanine Lubin (Lance). He was adored by his grandchildren Kimberly Michael (Sammy), Michael Abraham, Mariam Haddad, Rachel Lubin, and Sandy DeAnda; and by his great grandchildren Sofia, Jamiliee, Bryan J. and Angela. His extraordinary imagination, sense of humor, and impressive memory made him a genuine story-teller whose tales were enjoyed by countless friends and family. He could make us laugh in a flash. Mitchell was a successful businessman and owner of Abraham's Market for more than 60 years, where he treated his many customers like treasured friends. He was a man of integrity and was generous to a fault, a true family man. Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents Sam Esber Abraham and Mariam Nacim Abraham, his sister Tamra Esper and brother Arthur Abraham. He is survived by his loving wife Georgette, his adoring children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, his big sister Sallie Malooly, and by his many nieces and nephews. Mitchell was so very loyal and unconditionally loving and generous to his family. We will miss him with all our hearts forever. Pallbearers are Frederick Abraham, Bryan Haddad, Lance Lubin, Sammy Michael, Michael Abraham, Adib Dayoub, Habib Salloum, and Edmund Esper. Honorary Pallbearers are Joseph (Sib) Abraham, Bryan Abraham, Ned Abraham, Sami Esper, George Zacour, Norman Ekery, Gilbert Malooly, Sr., Mickey Esper, Albert Malooly, Jr., Albert Haddad, Fred Nabhan, George Nabhan, Norman Haddad, and William Anthony Tahan.
