Mother, daughter, wife, sister, and Special Agent Bianca N. Mendez left our world too early on June 27, 2016. Bianca was born on April 8, 1978 in El Paso, TX and graduated from Socorro HS in 1996. As a United States Air Force veteran, she earned many career distinctions to include Airman of the Year for the 49th Fighter Wing. Her distinguished law enforcement career included Special Agent in AF Office of Special Investigations, Child Protective Services, and for Social Security Administration's Office of Inspector General. Always putting over 100% to everything she did, she earned her bachelor and masters degree in Criminal Justice from NMSU while negotiating her military career and family. About to complete her Ph.D, Bianca did not allow excuses to dictate her life and continued to excel as an investigator. As a model for all of us on how to live life to the fullest, she is remembered as a fun-spirited person with a beautiful smile. Her preparation for everything, attention to detail, and resolve to follow through are unmatched. Bianca will always be loved by her husband, Sergio; children, Izzy, Rollie, Twinkies, and Noah; father, Mario; mother, Maggie; Jamma; brothers and sisters, Claudia, Tina, Mooch, Ricky, Eric, and Andrew. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday, July 1st at F.D.A. Martin- East with Vigil Services at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 10 am on Saturday, July 2nd at St. Luke Catholic Church (930 Redd Rd). Military Service at Fort Bliss National Cemetery will be pending at a later date. Bianca,
I miss you more than words can say. My sister, your mother, Raquel, was very fortunate to have you as her daughter because you made sure she never lacked for anything. Your heart was made of gold. Thank you for all you did in the brief period of time you joined us on this earth. You brought joy, hope and love to all who knew you. You will be loved and missed forever.

Biana, my very first friend. I still remember the day we met in Mrs. Cook's Kindergarten class at Escontrias Elementary. Time & distance couldn't break our genuine bond. Through the years, you continued to be an incredible friend. Every time I saw you, your smile & laughter lit up the room. I think of you EVERY TIME I enjoy a Dunkin' Donut. So many laughs with you; your raspy, one-of-a-kind voice will resonate beautifully in my heart forever. More than an accomplished, incredible person, you were a precious soul. There is no one like you. I love you, Bianca. I will never forget you. Rest with the angels now, my friend.

To the Mendez and Aguilar family,
My heart is broken and goes out to you all. Bianca worked for me at Holloman AFB when she was in the military. She was an outstanding Airman who's smile always lit the room she was in. She was a person that touched the hearts of everyone she met. She will be deeply missed. RIP my beautiful young lady, and God speed to the family.

Bianca and I shared many great memories in Missionettes. She was kind, nurturing, and always willing to help. Every time I saw Bianca in the halls, she always had a smile on her face. I ran into Bianca last year at Summit with two of her kids. I hadn't seen her in almost 20 years, but as soon as I saw her smile, I knew exactly who she was. Bianca's smile could light up a room, so I light this candle in her honor. Aguilar/Mendez family, please accept my condolences. Prayers and love for your family. Rest in Peace, Bianca.

With deepest sympathies and sorrowful hearts, we pray for your family during this time of need.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
