Jenny Gonzalez passed away December 28, 2017 and is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born Juana Maria Morales in Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico on March 30, 1936. She is preceded in death by her mother Maria Campos Cruz, her father Antonio Morales Martinez, and her biological father Francisco Gilio La Capra, and by siblings Jesus Manuel Morales, Natividad Morales, and Marisa Gilio de Herrera. Jenny was an elementary school teacher for 20 years, before becoming a Librarian Assistant for the El Paso Public Library for 17 years. She suffered from Alzheimer's, but remained jovial and charismatic. An inspiration to many, Jenny was beautiful, brilliant, and a talented artist who loved to paint and received many accolades. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, selfless all her days, she touched the hearts of everyone she met. She will be greatly missed. Jenny is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Sergio Martinez Gonzalez, her four children, Sergio M. Gonzalez J.D. (Abby), Monica Arellano (Robert), Lillian Hagerty (Richard) and Edward Gonzalez (Michelle), nine grandchildren, Ariel and Julian Gonzalez, Ryan (Laila), Emily, and Jackson Arellano, Anna, Ava, Owen and Clara Gonzalez, and great-granddaughter, Amara Arellano, also by her siblings Maria Luisa Monsivais and Armando Gilio. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 11:30am to 1:00pm with Funeral Service held at 1:00pm at Mt. Carmel Funeral Home (1755 N. Zaragosa). Interment ensues at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 2:30pm.

I'm so sorry for your loss I worked with Jenny at the El Paso Public Library back in 1990 until she retired. Jenny was very instrumental to me in the Periodicals dept. She was a very loving, kind and giving person and for this I am truly grateful. May God grant your family strenght and fortitude during this difficult time.
