Annette Kruell Obituary

Annette "Jimmy" Kruel, nee Vondera, 93, Union, passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, in St. Clair.

Annette, daughter of the late Henry Vondera and wife Julia, nee Klenke, was born Feb. 21, 1921, in Pharr, Texas. Annette received her education at Immaculate Conception Grade School, and graduated from Union High School in 1939. She was united in marriage to Wilbert Kruel June 29, 1946, at Immaculate Conception Church, Union. Annette was employed as a secretary and bookkeeper for Carmo Shoe for 22 years. Then she was employed at Union Furniture, and later worked with her daughter at Professional Hearing Center, Union, for almost 30 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Union.

Annette is survived by one son, Neil Kruel and wife Hanna, Union; two daughters, Elizabeth Wilmesherr and husband David, Union, and Mary Allison and husband Robert, Arnold; five grandchildren, Alisha Allison, Julianne Allison, Grace Allison, Aaron Kruel and wife Heather, and Joshua Kruel; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Kruel, Aug. 11, 2011; her parents; and one sister, Mildred Ransom.

A funeral Mass was held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at Immaculate Conception Church, Union, with the Rev. Joe Post officiating.

Burial followed in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Union Senior Center or Union Food Pantry.

The Kruel family was served by Oltmann Funeral Home, Union.
