Marcella C. Cramer

1934 - 2018

Marcella C. (Healy) Cramer, age 84, of North East, died on Friday, October 12, 2018, with her husband by her side. Marcella was born on August 26, 1934, in Erie, Pa., the daughter of the late Josephine (Murray) Healy.

Marcella graduated from North East High School in 1952. Marcella believed strongly in the importance of faith, family, and community. She was an active community volunteer, having served as President of the North East School Board, President of the North East Chamber of Commerce, and President of the North East Junior Women's Club. She was an active member of St. Gregory Catholic Church, Irish Cultural Society, Lakeview Country Club Golf League, and Pennbriar Tennis League.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother and Uncle John "Jack" George.

Marcella is survived by and will be deeply missed by: her husband of 66 years, Alfred "Al" Cramer, whom she married on September 5, 1953; children, Constance C. Cramer of Erie, Liesl C. Valone (Robert) of Erie, and Ryan P. Cramer (Sasmita) of Los Angeles, Calif.; grandchildren, Ryleigh Valone, McKenna Valone, Rohan Cramer, Ariana Cramer, Kristen Sheridan, and Meghan van Gindertael (Sheridan); and great grandchildren, Jayden Sack, Khali Horton, and Ahmari Horton.

Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East, on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gregory Catholic Church in North East. Interment will immediately follow at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations go to St. Gregory Catholic Church, 140 W. Main St., North East, PA 16428, or St. Patrick Church 130 E. 4th St., Erie, PA 16507.
