The first thing I said to Ian was how I remember Philip playing the piano at Grove City even as a young boy. We were all blessed. We're so sad to hear this news and know that God alone can, and will bring you the comfort you need at this time. Barb and Ian Taylor

So crushing to hear this news. I have fond memories of Philip from when we sang together in the Erie Philharmonic Chorus, and he accompanied our rehearsals on piano. He was such a talented musician. And so intelligent. Conversations with him were a delight and even though he was very shy, he was always so pleasant to be around. I believe everyone felt that way. He had a quiet confidence. I feel deeply for your loss and will continue to pray that you will find strength from God to lift you up during this time, resting in His eternal promises that cannot fail.

I'm very sorry for you loss. I remember him as a beautiful pianist. I would see him around the neighborhood, walking to and from work, I think. He sat just behind my daughters and I at a movie a couple months back and we had said, "hello." I can't imagine what you are going through. Our thoughts are with you.

Philip will forever be 17 years old in my memory, sitting at the piano playing songs from "The Little Mermaid" for Laura and I to sing to. He was one of the smartest people I knew. I hope he knew how highly we all regarded him. I'm so heartbroken at his loss. I wish everyone in the family solace in this hard time, and so much love. You aren't alone.

My condolences on Phil's passing. As an avid ECF shopper,I would ALWAYS wait for his line,no matter the length, because I knew he was the sharpest cashier. Our 2 minute conversations were always the most interesting part of my day.I hope he found peace....

You always brought a smile to my face, though it wasn't often that I saw you. I admired your intelligence and gentle demeanor. Owen still has good manners, I remember talking you about how I didn't mean for us to bump into you that one time at Giant Eagle. I will always remember you singing at the piano so beautifully. That's where you are now - in heaven, playing with that contagious smile on your face. Rest in peace Philip.
