Ruben S. Rivera

Ruben S. Rivera Ruben S. Rivera, 56, of Erie, died Friday, June 29, 2007 at Hamot Medical Center following a battle with cancer which he fought until the very end. He was born in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico on May 1, 1951, a son of the late Zoilo Soler Cruz and Cornelia Rivera. He had been employed as a landscaper at Fairview Evergreen Nursery. He enjoyed working on cars and socializing with his friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Carmen and Hilda. He is survived by his children, Cristina Rivera, Felicia Rivera, Angel Wodardski, Maria Ramos, Felipe Rivera, and Ruben Rivera, Jr., all of Erie; two sisters, Maquisa Rivera and Rosa Maria Rivera and three grandchildren, Kiona Scott, Kyla Scott and Kara Ramos, all of Erie; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Burton West Lake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, Tuesday, 1 to 3 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Thursday at 12 noon.
