Charles "Chuck" H. Campagne, Jr. passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020 peacefully with his beloved wife and family at his side.

He was born on June 14, 1939, the son of the late Charles and Julia (Patsy) Campagne.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his baby sister, Laura Jean Campagne and a son, Paul Campagne.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife and his true soulmate, Nancy (Benes) Campagne; his children, Lisa (Campagne) Winschel and husband Tom; Kimberly Campagne; Laura (Campagne) Gregoritis, and Charles Campagne III. He is the grandfather of Anthony "Ziggy" Winschel, Carla Winschel, Alexandria Campagne, Marissa Campagne and Meghan Campagne.

Chuck was a prominent local businessman and former owner of Career Concepts Staffing Services. He was a leader and innovator in the staffing and recruiting industry. The hardest working man, finally agreed to retire 12 years ago and enjoy some time with his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren. Family meant everything to him. Chuck grew up in "Little Italy" and it always held a special place in his heart. He graduated from Academy, class of 1957, and remained very active with his dear friends up until his passing. He was a Gannon University graduate and proud supporter of the university. Everyone would look for Chuck at Gannon basketball games, where he held floor seats for the past 45 years. He received a special award from Gannon for all of his fundraising and support with an emphasis on helping student athletes.

Chuck loved to golf and even had a hole-in-one. He was probably one of the best poker players in the tri-state area and was always gracious and generous with all people. He was self-made, an underdog, and gave back to everyone and anyone who needed a helping hand. Chuck knew what it meant to be blessed and also what it meant to struggle. His number one concern was everyone's well-being, whether it be family, friend, or stranger. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, and friend anyone could ever have. He was humble, witty, a force of nature, and proud to be Italian. Chuck was a beautiful soul and human being.

I would like to thank everyone for your kind words about my father. Hearing touching stories comforted my heart and our family. I will miss my father dearly but take comfort that he is with our Lord and my sweet brother, Paul. Our family suffered 2 great losses in less than a year. It's not easy but he raised us to be strong. I couldn't be more proud of the man, I was blessed to have as my father for 54 years. I know he strived to be the best he could be as a father, friend and humanitarian. He was the person you could call for help. He would never judge you and do everything in his power to assist. Thanks for everyone who came to support our family during these trying times with covid. Every word, hug, story, and gesture meant a lot. Love, Lisa and the entire Campagne family

Dad, I am honored to have you as my father. You were the first man who taught me the meaning of unconditional love. You were my protector, provider and my safe place always. You taught me to be kind, loving, generous, patient, strong, and wise. You taught me to respect myself and others. You taught me to never give up. You taught me to shut up and listen when needed and to speak up and help others when needed. You taught me never to lie. You loved mom and were a great husband. Your 55th wedding to mom would have been October 10! You showed me an example of a healthy, happy marriage. You loved my husband like a son and couldn't have been a better grandfather. You were self made and built a legacy from nothing but your tenacity, intelligence and work ethic. You were fearless and had guts. You had the best sense of humor, held great conversations and your family and friends will miss that. You had many diverse interests. You were real and honest and a man of your word. Everyone knew your words were gold. You were a man of action and a natural born leader. You were the definition of pure class .You could mentor and teach anyone. You shared your wisdom and gave everyone a chance. I am learning more about your charity and generosity as we mourn your loss. You have helped more people and never told a soul of your good deeds. You were a phenom and one of the greats! Yet, you never boasted or bragged. You were so humble, quietly working behind the scenes. You just did whatever you could to help anyone in need. You completed your life mission perfectly. God has you back in His arms. You will always be with me, Mom, Kim, Tom, Anthony, Carla and Alex. You and Paul are together with God. Our love for you will never die. Until we all meet again❤❤❤

Chuck was like a Dad to me. I worked for him a long time. He was the toughest and fairest boss you could have. He really did a lot for me and my family. I'll forever be indebted to him. The community lost a really good man. I hope to one day be able to do as much for others as he did.

Campagne Family,

Back in 1985, Chuck gave this fresh out of college kid a job with Career Concepts when the office was located in, what is now, the Avalon Hotel. While I didn't make many placements, Chuck's unwaivering faith in me is something I will never forget. My condolences to your entire family, and may he rest in peace.

So lucky to have spent time with your family! Mr. Campagne had the unique flair of being intimidating but in the Italian way of expecting all the best from you and in the most gentle way. I have been blessed to enjoy his support and to know he was cheering me on in life. He and Paul shared that special smile that was fun loving. Family comes first was a clear motto for Mr. and Mrs. Campagne (Nancy and Chuck) and friends were warmly welcomed into their loving and gorgeous home with the best hospitality, delicious food, care for you, and often hilarious laugh sessions! Mrs. C, Lisa, Tom, Carla, Anthony, Kim, and Alex, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.
