Kenny was a very special person. He was absolutely one of the most beautiful men I have ever met both inside and out. I am so happy to say he was apart of my family. Kenny was the absolute best. He will be sadly missed. I'm sure he has peace because he lived his life that way. I regret not being there to pay my respects. We shared alot as men whenever I was fortunate enough to share the same space with him. My Dad always spoke highly of Kenny because he was "that guy". Veronica - Please accept my condolences on Kenny's passing. You and Kenny were two of my favorite people...always with a smile and a kind greeting. I am out of town until Sunday or else I would come by and see you in your time of sorrow. It's funny because in my suitcase, I have the T-shirt that Kenny gave me several years back with his dad on the front of it. I was touched when I read Bill Cole's thoughts about Kenny. I also graduated in '69 from Academy with him, and although didn't know him as well as Bill, I always felt a closeness to him. He was a gentle guy who was always genuinely interested in other people.
My sincere condolences to his family, especially Ron, who taught my daughter a lot about the game of tennis.

Ken Harden was my friend, my classmate and my brother. His athletic prowess so renown that he was written up in the sports pages upon leaving grade school and entering jr. high. His social activism of the ' 60s caused the local NAACP president to call him the "Rosa Parks of Erie". One of the foremost and knowledgeable authorities on the Negro League Ken became a sought after commentator and rose to the level of National Treasure. A social lion, Ken's positive, enthusiastic and rejuvenating presence permeated the Afro -American community for over 4 decades. The most popular person in our class we loved Ken and he cherished his classmates. His demise has left us all in a quiet reverence. Brother we feel your loss. My sincere condolences to his family. May the Lord bless keep and guide you during your time of bereavement.

To Veronica (Pig) and the entire family; I was deeply sadden to hear of Kennys' passing, but now he's at rest. I am so glad I had the chance to see him and Veronica just last year and was looking forward to seeing the two of them again real soon, but God knows best. I remember Kenny back in the day when he, Gregory, Larry and Sybil all called themselves "The Pleasure Seekers". You knew they were up to no good, just having fun.
Kenny was always apart of our family (Myers) he was at every function. There was no question as to who was family everybody knew Kenny as a Uncle,Brother,Cousin and a Nephew.
