Faith Dzara Obituary
Faith Aileen Dzara, age 26, resident of Rye, Colorado, passed away tragically on December 21, 2015, at her home. Born on December 9, 1989 in Erie, Pa., Faith is a daughter of Fred T. Dzara and the late Vickie Lee Woods Dzara.
A graduate of Cambridge Springs High School in the Class of 2008, Faith continued her education at Edinboro University where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2012. She then worked for the Copper Coin and for Uncle Charlies both in Edinboro until beginning a career as a correctional officer at Trinidad State Prison in Trinidad, Colo., where she presently was employed. Faith enjoyed expressing herself artistically by painting and drawing, and was especially fond of her horses - JoJo, Ava, and Citrus.
Surviving Faith in addition to her parents, Fred T. Dzara and Penny Dzara of Edinboro, are her paternal grandparents, Fred T. Dzara, Sr. and Shirley Dzara of Edinboro; her maternal grandparents, Donna Skelton Smith and Carl Smith of Edinboro; her maternal grandfather, Tom Woods of Edinboro; four brothers, Quentin Dzara of Pittsburgh, Shaw MacAdam of Edinboro; Trevor Brooks and his wife, Stella of Allentown; and Seth Hoh and his wife, Thomasina of Cranesville; a sister, Jennifer Newara and her husband, Scott of Northeast. Additional survivors include a good friend Dan Whitney of Edinboro and many members of the Woods, Skelton, and Dzara families.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Tuesday, Dec. 29th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and to services there on Wednesday, Dec. 30th at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mitchell Cemetery. To send condolences, please visit www.vanmatrefuneralhome.com.

To Fred and penny, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your daughter. I can still remember like it was yesterday riding the bus to school. Faith was and is such a wonderful person. I was blessed to have Faith as a student in my first years of teaching. She had a contagious smile that brightened my classroom daily. I am so saddened by the news of her passing and will be praying for her family and friends in the coming days. Rest easy Faith.

I had the distinct pleasure to be Faith's high school art teacher. She was a joy to have in my classroom and always had a smile on her face. Her artwork was top notch and she had a work ethic that was one of the best. I will never forget her contribution to the community through her awesome bowling alley "Senior Project" along with her close friend Jen. You will be missed!
