Jennifer Lee Zehe, age 32, of Fairview, passed peacefully in the comfort of her home, Friday, October 21, 2016. Born in Erie on February 27, 1984, she was a daughter of Sue and Allan Zehe.
Jen attended Fairview High School, where she was a member of the swim team and graduated from Villa Maria Academy in 2002. During her high school years she delighted in being a lifeguard at Presque Isle for the summer months. Jen attended the University of Tampa, where she majored in political science.
She was a caring and compassionate person that gave all she had to everyone that crossed her path. Jen enjoyed gardening, even though she could only ever grow weeds and had an elaborate collection of four leaf clovers she shared with people. A Pisces by birth, she was true to the sign, as she loved the water and swimming. She was artistic, talented, and creative, often making treasures out of what most people considered junk.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ludwig and Marion Zehe and Donald B. Thomas.
Besides her parents, survivors include her siblings, Abby Pluta, husband, Matthew, of Cambridge, Md., Jonathan Zehe of Pittsburgh, David Zehe, wife, Lillian, of Naples, Fla., Eric Zehe of Sarasota, Fla., and Alison Butler, husband, Brian, of Wattsburg; a niece, Brooke; her maternal grandmother whom she loved, Ethel Thomas; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
