Mrs. Evie Lue Roberts

Mrs. Evie Lue Roberts, 95, died Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Crowne Health Care in Eufaula.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 1 P.M., CST, at the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lance Fendley officiating. Burial will follow in the Sharon Methodist Church Cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home directing.

Born March 26, 1925 in Barbour County, Alabama, Mrs. Roberts was the daughter of the late Linwood Franklin and Daisey Dean Hicks Bell. She was a lifelong resident of Georgetown, Georgia until moving to Crowne Health Care in Eufaula in 2006 where she was the 2016 Miss Crowne Health Care of Eufaula and went on to place in the top 10 of the Miss Alabama Nursing Home pageant. She was preceded in death by her husband John Henry Roberts, Sr., her daughter Roberta LaVerne Jackson, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 infant children.

Survivors include 2 sons: Franklin (Mary Ann) Roberts of Eufaula, Alabama, John Henry (Sue) Roberts, Jr. of Kingsland, Georgia; 1 daughter: Mary Ann Musselwhite of Eufaula, Alabama; her adopted daughter: Gladys Jones Barrett; 8 grandchildren: Tracey Jackson (Hal) Jones, Franklin (Jeanette) Roberts Jr., Angela Hartsell, Denise (Dwayne) Raybon, Chris (Amy) Roberts, John Henry Roberts III, Stacy (Rikki) Reese, Cece (Bryan) Horne; 13 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; 1 sister: Donnie Shellhouse; 1 brother: Ralph (Eileen) Griffin.

Active pallbearers will be Bryan Horne, Kevin Hickman, John Dunn, Buddy Cook, John Everette Pate, Dwayne Raybon, Ray Page and Leyon Roberts.
