Mr. Travis Ray Westbrook
Mr. Travis Ray Westbrook, age 90, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Graveside services were held, Friday, February 12, 2021 at Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery in Clayton at 11:00 AM with Reverend Curtis Rich and Reverend Josh Powell officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Clayton directing. All social distancing and mask guidelines were followed.
Mr. Westbrook was born December 19, 1930, in Louisville, the son of Henry and Eva (Cook) Westbrook. He was a 1949 graduate of Clayton High School. Mr. Westbrook was retired from the Barbour County Board of Education where he worked in the bus shop as a mechanic. In his spare time, he loved gardening, fishing, and hunting. He was a faithful member of Evergreen Baptist Church
He is preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Bennie Foy; mother-in-law, Tallie Mae McLendon; grandson, Larry B. Hatfield, II; and nephew, Timothy Joe Westbrook.
He is survived by his loving wife of seventy years, Rebecca McLendon Westbrook, Louisville; five children, Tommy (Connie) Westbrook, Louisville; Rosalyn (Larry) Hatfield, Eufaula; Cathy (Dick) Martin, Clayton; Janell (Mickey) Miller, Eufaula; Dennis (Yvette) Westbrook, Eufaula; ten grandchildren, Heather (John) Bush, April (Jason) Pickett, Amy (Lamar) Boswell, Melissa Martin Miller, Drew (Kristy) Martin, Justin Travis Westbrook, Misty (Tom) Rosier, April Miller (Bryan Brinkerhoff), Laura (Josh) Cobb, Meredith Rutland; seventeen great grandchildren, Raeleigh (Kinnen) Perry, Claudia Pickett, Emma Claire Boswell, Austin Boswell, Kathryn Miller, Anna Miller, Maggie Miller, Audrey Martin, Vada Westbrook, Alex (Clayton) Self, Chassidy Rhodes, Rhylee Rhodes, Kaylee Aardema, T.J. Rosier, Mya Rosier, Carson Cobb, Copeland Cobb; one great-great grandchild, Rylee Elizabeth Self; brother and sister-in-law, Danny Joe (Lavene) Westbrook, Hayden; niece, Tonia Westbrook Ballintine (Jim), great nephews, Brooks Ballentine, Luke Ballentine; numerous extended family, and his devoted dog Millie.
The family would like to thank Ramona Kennedy, RN and Southern Care Hospice for all the love and care given.
Asked to serve as pallbearers were Bo Roland, Greg Green, Mike McCraney, Shug Roland, Steve Strickland, and Tony Hurst.
