Abbottstown - Angela Y. Sliker, 52, of Abbottstown, entered into God's eternal care on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Born September 27, 1966 in Hanover, she was the daughter of William C. and Sandra A. (Rohrbaugh) Spangler of Spring Grove.

Angie was previously employed at Litman Jewelers in Hanover and worked more than 20 years at McDonalds in New Oxford attaining the position of manager. She was a 1984 graduate of Spring Grove High School and a member of St. Jacob's Stone UCC in Glenville. Angie enjoyed riding horses, loved dogs and particularly enjoyed spending time with her grandsons.

Surviving in addition to her parents are three children, Whitney Geiman and husband Zachary, Zackary Strausbaugh and wife Ashley, all of York and Levi Strausbaugh of Hanover; two grandsons, Zage and Lynken; four step children, Shawn Strausbaugh of Chicago, Jordan Sliker of Shippensburg, Grant Rupp of Tionesta and Annica Sliker of Stewartstown; one sister, Linda Spangler of Spring Grove.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Avenue, McSherrystown, with Rev. Dr. Bruce P. Bouchard officiating. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends will be received Thursday 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
