Hanover - Michael Trostle Henze, 65 of Hanover died on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Homewood at Plum Creek.

Born May 29, 1953 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late William Forrest and Helen (Trostle) Henze. He is survived by Deborah Susan (Sayler) Henze, his wife of 35 years.

Michael graduated from Hanover High School in 1971. He was employed at ESAB Welding & Cutting Products, Hanover, PA for 45 years. He worked in the Department of Research & Development until May 2015, retiring as a Senior Engineering Technician.

He was a member of the Hanover Brethren in Christ Church. Throughout the years, he served faithfully in positions of Sunday school teacher, Youth advisor, Deacon and worship Team member where he sang and played a tenor saxophone.

Michael enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting and following Penn State football, the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens. Traveling was a favorite activity, especially if it involved fishing.

Besides his wife, Deborah Susan (Sayler) Henze, he is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Dwight Fadenrecht of East Berlin, PA; a sister-in-law, Betsy A. Sayler of Taneytown, MD; a father-in-law, Charles P. Sayler of Taneytown, MD; a cousin, Gary Trostle of Las Vegas, NV and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 22nd from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Hanover Brethren in Christ Church; 301 Maple Ave.; Hanover, PA 17331. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am following the visitation. Inurnment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hanover Brethren in Christ Church at the above address, or to the Visiting Nurse Association of Hanover and Spring Grove; 440 North Madison St.; Hanover, PA 17331
