GETTYSBURG Richard D. Wible, Jr., 59, entered into God's eternal care Friday, March 29, 2013, at his residence. Richard was the loving husband of Sharon D. (Buchman) Wible, with whom he shared 31 years of marriage. Born May 29, 1953, in Baltimore, Md., Richard was the son of Richard Wible, Sr. of La Fayette, Ga., and the late Lily Y. (Pell) Wible. He was a devoted member of the Gates of Praise Worship Center of Littlestown, where he faithfully served as the sound technician and enjoyed singing Gospel music with his wife. Richard was an expert audio technician and a seasoned craftsmen. He was an avid lover of motorcycles and enjoyed target practice. His greatest pride was his family, whom he thoroughly enjoyed. He was employed as a truck driver with TDI Incorporated of Harley Davidson. Prior to this, he was employed by York Excavation and the former Shultz Foods. In addition to his father and wife, Richard is survived by his sons, Daniel J. Wible of Gettysburg and Richard C. Wible of Kansas; his daughter, Lara M. Wible of Gettysburg; his two brothers, Joseph A. "Al" Wible of Atlanta, Ga., and Kenneth Wible of La Fayette, Ga.; and his two sisters, Cindy McDaniel of Raleigh, N.C., and Tammy Carstetter of Glen Burnie, Md. A funeral service to celebrate and remember Rick's life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, with Pastor Samuel Garrett officiating and Richard's brother-in-law, Pastor Gary Buchman, assisting. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. A visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Richard's memory to the Gates of Praise Worship Center, 5010 Baltimore Pike, Littlestown, PA 17340.
