Rhea Gingrow Obituary
HANOVER Rhea Schott Gingrow, 95, formerly of Littlestown, died Sunday, April 6, at Hanover Hall Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late William T. "Bill" Gingrow, Jr., who died Nov 5, 2010. Born Dec. 16, 1918, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late A.W. and Helen (Weaver) Schott. Rhea was a High School graduate of St. Joseph's Academy, McSherrystown. In addition to being a homemaker, Rhea worked in the family restaurant, Schottie's in Littlestown. She is survived by two sons, William T. Gingrow III and wife Bridget of Lancaster, Alfred S. Gingrow and wife Beth of Hanover; a daughter, Jolene G. Sullivan and husband, Michael, of Westminster, Md.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Rhea was predeceased by a sister, Angela Long; and two brothers, Alfred and Bernard Schott. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and F.O.E., both of Littlestown, and Bonneauville CWV. Rhea was a volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels, enjoyed arts and crafts, was very giving and always offering a helping hand. A Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday at 10 a.m. at her church with the Rev. James M. Sterner, Celebrant. Viewing is Thursday 9 to 9:30 a.m. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown. Interment is in the Parish Cemetery.
