HAMPTON Mary (Trimmer) Rinker, 81, entered into God's eternal kingdom Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at York Hospital. She was the wife of Roy T. Rinker, Jr., with whom she would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on February 1, 2013. Mary was born February 1, 1931, in Gettysburg, the daughter of the late Raymond W. and Sarah (Ketterman) Trimmer. Mary was a member of Heidlersburg U.B. Church where she served as pianist, Sunday School teacher, and was treasurer for many years. She was a 1949 graduate of Biglerville High School, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Hampton Fire Company, and was employed by Penn Wood Heel in East Berlin, the department of Revenue in Harrisburg, Cumberland County Bank in New Oxford, and she retired from PNC Bank. In addition to her husband, Roy, Mary is survived by two sons, Gregory A. Rinker and his wife, Leslie of Bethany Beach, Del., and Steven M. Rinker and his wife, Susan of Taneytown, Md.; seven grandchildren, Neal, Nicole, Nolan, Nadia, Jessica and her husband, Mike, Lucille, and Rose; a brother, Kenneth H. Trimmer and his wife, Janet of Biglerville; a sister, Phyllis T. Wagaman and her husband, Gary of Biglerville; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Trimmer of Biglerville. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert L. Trimmer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Heidlersburg U.B. Church, 2736 Heidlersburg Road, Gettysburg, with her pastor, the Rev. Craig A. Loewen, officiating. Burial will be in Hampton Union Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Gregory Rinker, Steven Rinker, Jeff McGonnell, Neal Rinker, Nolan Rinker, and Mike Grady. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
