Victims of the A429 crash Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 12 to Dec. 1, 2008.
SEVEN people were killed in a car crash on the A429 Fosse Way on Friday (March 7).
John Kirby, 63, from Stow-on-the-Wold, was pronounced dead at the scene and his wife Margaret, 61, and disabled daughter Julie, 34, died later in hospital.
Jason Brain, 35, the driver of the Peugeot, his daughter Natasha Didcote,15, and Michola Jones, 31, all from Moreton, and Ryan Bott, 20, from Chipping Norton, all died instantly.

Tributes:
COTSWOLDS communities have been coming to terms with the tragic loss of seven lives in a head-on car crash on Friday night (March 7).
Flowers have been laid at the site of the collision near the Broadwell turning on the A429 Fosse Way, while tributes have been paid to the three members of a Stow-on-the-Wold family killed.
Churches and schools have sent messages of condolence to bereaving families and Moreton-in-Marsh Town Council held a minutes' silence before their meeting on Monday (March 10) in memory of the lives lost.
Rev David Francis, vicar of St Edward's Church in Stow, said: "All we can say is that the full horror of it is starting to have an impact, all the details are just becoming apparent in terms of the number of people killed.
"The main feeling here is the sheer devastation that affects the family concerned and all our thoughts are with the surviving children."
The loss of life has hit people hard, including those who knew 61-year-old Margaret Kirby, a dedicated community figure within the Royal British Legion.
Robert Lamb, secretary of the legion's Stow branch, said: "Margaret will be sorely missed, not only was she a strong worker for the women's section of the legion but she was very highly thought of throughout the Stow community.
"She was a woman of genuinely good work and a fine personality, who was much loved and much appreciated by many people."
The only survivors of the crash are Sophie and Adam Stone, aged nine and ten, who both go to Stow Primary School.
Their headteacher Rebecca Scutt said: "We were all shocked to hear the tragic news which has affected so many families at the school, our thoughts are with the families and the children.
"We held a special assembly and the children are writing messages and cards to send to their friends in hospital to help them to a speedy recovery."
The Stow community is pulling together by raising money for the Stone family, with a racing night at the Old Stocks Hotel, on The Square, on Monday night and a collection box in Stars Newsagents, on The Square, which has raised £360 since Sunday (March 9).
Shop manager Dave Haytree said: "We've done this because one family from Stow has been almost wiped out, and we thought what can we do for the family to show they are in our thoughts."
Chipping Campden School has paid tribute to 15-year-old Natasha Didcote, from Moreton, who attended the school and was killed in the collision six days short of her 16th birthday.
Headteacher Annette France said: "I was shocked and saddened to learn of the death of Natasha. Staff and students have been informed and counselling is being offered.
"The school sends it's sincere condolences to the families and will of course be offering its' support in the coming days."
