Mrs. Ethel Luellen (Trammel) Pearson, 78, widow of the late Melvin Bartlet "Bart" Pearson, Sr., passed away at 11:35 a.m., on Friday, January 29, 2010, in the Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Pearson will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at the graveside in the Oglesby Cemetery. Pastor Claud Wisinger will be the officiant. Committal prayers and interment will be directed by The Arnold Moore Funeral Service.
Mrs. Pearson will lie in state in the Drawing Rooms of The Arnold Moore Funeral Residence where friends may call for their visitation until she is removed for final rites on Tuesday afternoon.
Ethel Luellen Trammel was born March 28, 1931 in Bartlesville. She was the daughter of the late James Trammel and Iva (Panel) Trammel. Ethel was reared in the Bartlesville area and received her formal education there. She and Melvin Bartlet "Bart" Pearson were united in marriage on October 21, 1949 at Bartlesville and they made their home there before moving to the Okesa community in 1957. Mr. Pearson owned and operated several different filling stations in and around Bartlesville and Barnsdall, as well as the Oasis Bar in Barnsdall. He also did welding work and worked for Bill Smith in his recycling business. Ethel and Mr. Pearson worked together in the operation of the businesses. "Bart" preceded Ethel in death on December 30, 2007. Since that time, Ethel had continued her residence in the Okesa area.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Luellen Pearson, Bartlesville; her son, Melvin Bartlet Pearson, Jr. and his wife, Kaye, Barnsdall, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; her brother, Jess Trammel and his wife, Lou, Bartlesville; sisters-in-law, Ruby Trammel, Bartlesville, and Charlene Trammel, Moline, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her mother; father; husband, "Bart"; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Hank, John, Herb and Walter; and three sisters, Ellen, Mildred and Marie.

Dear Family:

Frank and Cindy Rowe of Okesa send condolences to all of the family. Ethel was a very sweet lady and she will be missed by everyone that knew her.
