Alice Marie (Kliptch) Owens, 77, of Blue Springs, Mo., passed away Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at Northcare Hospice House.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at the St. John LaLande Catholic Church, Blue Springs. Burial will follow in Blue Springs Cemetery. There will be a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, followed by family visitation until 8 p.m., at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055.
Alice was born June 8, 1940, in Mitchell, S.D., to Arthur Paul and Helen (Snell) Kliptch. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, knitting and craft work, especially making angels. She was a member of St. John Lalande Catholic Church. She was married to Gerald Owens on November 18, 1961; he survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, David Owens of Blue Springs, Mo.; a daughter, Teresa Garrison of Kansas City, Mo.; 2 brothers, Jerry Kliptch of Riverside, Calif., and Johnny Kliptch of Kansas City, Mo.; 5 sisters, Donna Stone, Beverly Hoymier and Pauline Koch, all of Florida, Jean Gorbet of Illinois, and Robie Parnell of Mustang, Okla.; 2 grandchildren, Alisha Lavo and Evan Lavo; and a great-grandchild, Lauren Madison Lavo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, a son, Robert E. Owens in 2009, and a grandson, Kevin Michael Hanson in 2008.

I love you Alice, and still am not wanting this to have happened. I know it was time for God to call you home, but I wanted you here longer, I'm selfish I guess. Your road in life was not an easy one, but I know that you are @peace now. I put our lockets together, with you, I want them with you until we are together again. Proud you are my big Sis.~love
