Nancy Harlacher was my P.E. teacher in 9th grade at Palmer Junior High School, Independence, Mo. She was such a lady, so fair to all students, and made you feel comfortable and welcome in her class. Her husband taught at my elementary school, Hanthorn, but I was assigned to a lady teacher there. I admired both Nancy and Larry for their devotion to their work.

Goodbye Nancy
I will never forget how much fun we had as silly kids at Alton Elementary and Enoch Hill RLDS church. We spent a lot of time together in Sunday School, the girl's program, camps, overnights. I don't think I have ever laughed as much as I did when we were together then. You are a favorite memory of my childhood and I have shared that memory with my children. I remember your long pigtails and your artistic ability (both of which I never had). You will be missed and thank you for a very happy memory from my past.

Mrs. Harlacher is/was and always will be one of my most treasured friends. She was instrumental in the creation of the Galesburg Gadets in 1970. She was my "gym" teacher and at that time the only person I could confide in about cheerleading and the desire to perform but never for Mrs. Rosine. We came up with the idea of an all girls performing group modeled after a similar group in Lamoni, IA. That connection began a life long friendship. She was an amazing lady - dedicated to God, family, and treating everyone with respect. I miss her already, but grateful she's Home, in no pain and smiling with our Lord. God's peace and comfort to her family and friends who grieve in her passing.

Deeply saddened to hear this. We all loved her dearly. What a sweetheart she was. May she find her eternal peace and heavenly reward in the loving arms of God.
I was a member of her Galesburg Gadets 71-73. What a wonderful experience and what fun we had.

There has never been a time in my life that Nancy wasn't part of it. Our families went camping together, attended church together, did lots of church history tours with youth groups, and got together often at my parent's home or her and Larry's home. I am saddened that she is no longer with us, but so excited that she is with her Heavenly Father and her family that has gone on before her. I wish I could make it to the memorial service, but she would understand since I will be working with the youth that weekend. Until we meet again dear Nancy!

My sincere condolences to Larry and the family. I worked with Nancy for many years at the Restoration Bookstore where we shared our love of the Restored Gospel. Her many Church History paintings are displayed at the bookstore. She was a very gifted and talented artist.
Clyde and I went on many of the Church History Tours she and Larry directed. They both loved Church History and it came alive on their tours. I will never forget Nancy and the friendship we shared.

Nancy and Larry's devotion to the Lord's latter day work and the associated history and historical sites have been a blessing to all in the church. I have greatly appreciated the church history tours that she helped guide. Her artwork has added much to many of our literary works. Nancy was always kind and encouraging to all to be faithful to the fullness of the gospel restored in these latter days continuing in the RLDS church that exists in those restoration branches remaining true to that work and calling. I will miss her greatly.
