ASH - Patrick Lee Leonard, 52, of Ash, died Friday, July 20, 2012, in Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center-Brunswick, surrounded by his family. Patrick was born May 6, 1960, in Verdun, France, a son of the late Alvin Carvey Leonard. Surviving are his mother, Renate Toepel Hord, and her husband, Doug, of Fayetteville; wife of 15 years, Julie Leonard of the home; son, Michael Leonard and wife Rachel of Ocean Isle Beach; daughter, Tonia Leonard of Fayetteville; and four grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, in the Brunswick Funeral Service chapel. Inurnment will be private. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to Brunswick Christian Recovery Center, P.O. Box 3091, Shallotte, NC 28459. I was so sorry to hear of Pats passing. I am very saddened by this news. My deepest sympathies go out to his family during this time of sorrow. I know he is in a better place now and we will all see him again one day.

My Dear Friend Patrick, I have known you a long time and I know you are at peace and in a better place. My heart aches for your family but I rejoice in knowing you have gone to be with our Heavenly Father. No more pain just peace now. I will miss you so much but you will remain in my heart always.
