Ruby A. Rupp, 91, of Bryan passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at her residence with her family by her side. Ruby was born Sept. 14, 1929, in Hudson Mich., the daughter of the late George Ray and Ruth (Bell) Cole. Ruby married LaMarr Gene Rupp on Feb. 26, 1950, in Wauseon, and he preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Chesterfield High School. She was a homemaker, and previously worked at Bryan Canning Factory and as a waitress. Ruby was a member of First Baptist Church, Bryan, and was involved in the church's Ladies Missionary Society and as a children's Sunday school teacher. She was also a Pink Lady at the Bryan Community Hospital. Ruby loved to macrame, sew, quilt, make ceramics, and read.
Surviving are her four children, Teresa (Curtis) Harter of Waco, Texas, Randal G. Rupp of Wiesbaden, Germany, Patricia A. (James S.) Cochran of West Unity, Ohio, and Michael Rupp of Bryan, Ohio; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry (Dee) Cole of Wilmington, Ohio, and George (Aldene) Cole of Huntington, Ind.; and one sister, Judy (Ralph) Shumaker of Wauseon.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sandy Zuvers; two brothers, Milton Cole and Robert Cole; and two sisters, Yvonne Raker and Bonnie Granger.
Funeral services for Ruby were held Saturday, April 3, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Bryan, with Pastor John MacFarlane officiating. Internment was at Shiffler Cemetery, Bryan.
Arrangements were under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home in Bryan.
