Jeff,
I first met you in May 1966, when I traveled to FDL meet Susans family. We soon became Brothers in Law, when Susan and I were maried in 1968. Several years later you and your sister Ann, stayed with us in Maryland for the summer. It was during that visit that you learned how to play Chess. You suggested that we begin a "long distance" game by mailing each other our moves. We began with full intentions of completing that game. Through the years as we enjoyed our many visits together, we continued to play that game at a extremely slow pace. Well, we are still playing that game.I truly believe that we will be continued when we meet again in Heaven.
Your loving Brother inb Law.

Dear Kathy and Family, Our hearts go out to all of you. No words are adequate at this time. Let God gently guide you through the next several days, months and years. Keep your faith strong and trust that Jeff is singing with the most beautiful choir in Heaven. His angelic voice will carry through the clouds, straight to your heart. He is among many, many friends and loved ones now. He is at peace, wrapped in God's loving arms, no longer suffering. We shall miss him, but will keep him close in our hearts, minds and prayers. We love you all, Ken and Ellie

My father was not only a great man, he was the BEST man. In life he always lived for others. He gave and gave without ever taking. His compassion, and love, will sustain my family through this tough time. I can only live to hope, that I am half the man he was. It hurts now, but i take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering. HE is watching over us. And his love is in all our hearts!

Jeff, I'm so glad we had all those long phone conversations when your health was good. Steve and I will both miss you and always remember the Summer of 1970 when you lived with us in our apartment in District Heights. We were Blessed to see you and Kathy when you came to NIH in Bethesda. Those, too, were good visits.

To my uncle who I will miss tremendously. I will always cherish the time did have to spend together, especially when I was a young child. I take comfort in being able to spend a few hours with you on my last leave home. God speed, and in typical Naval custom may you forever have "Fair winds and following seas" in heaven!
