Eugene A. Dorzok Obituary
Eugene A. Dorzok of West Bend, found his Angel on Monday, May 21, 2012, at The Kathy Hospice, at the age of 64 years.

He was born on Oct. 26, 1947, in Fessenden, N.D. to the late Eldor and Lillie (nee Lamm) Dorzok.

As a child, the family moved to the West Bend area.

As a self-taught carpenter, his projects included building, fixing and remodeling. He also loved the outdoors and shared his hobby with family and friends alike.

Gene's life was devoted to his daughters, grandchildren and great-grandson. He also was fondly called "Grandpa Gene" by many children.

He is with the Lord and his angels now.

Survivors include his wife, Melodee (nee Gaffke); two daughters, Lisa (Tom) Zurn of Brownsville and Carla Keller (Dan "Butch" Thelen) of Town of Trenton; four grandchildren, Megan, Jesse and Kaitlyn Zurn and Lucas Thelen; a great-grandson, Carter Everard-Zurn; seven brothers and sisters, William (Peggy) of Mountain Home, Ark., Leroy (Mary) Dorzok of Tipler, Robert of Tomah, Gerald (Yvonne) of Mosinee, Robin of Waldo, Bonnie (James) Beck of West Bend and Susan (Leonard) Luterbach of Missouri; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 24, at the Schmidt Funeral Home, 629 Cedar St. in West Bend, at 5:30 p.m. Burial will be on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Brownsville Cemetery in Brownsville, Wis.

VISITATION: Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.

The Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.
